Emergency aid for earthquakes in Syria

The project received support from the Evangelical Union of Churches of the Middle East and North Africa, which the Together team distributed to various initiatives in Aleppo. The funds were used to support several groups. Among the most important activities was the distribution of food vouchers to 57 teachers at the Guiligian School of the Armenian Society, who were very grateful for the assistance in meeting their daily needs.

Furthermore, the Together team, through the Armenian Orthodox Brotherhood, distributed food vouchers to 24 families of cancer patients. These families, already under considerable financial strain due to the high costs of medical treatment, expressed their deep gratitude. One woman even expressed her joy at finally being able to afford basic foodstuffs like cheese and eggs again after a long time. In addition, 135 families belonging to the Armenian Orthodox Church received food vouchers, and 65 families received tomato paste. Thirty-three other families in need were also supported with food vouchers, and at Christmas, 200 meals were distributed to teenagers and young adults to bring them some festive cheer during these difficult times.

In addition to providing food aid, the Together team also supported various medical and community needs. They provided financial assistance for several medical surgeries, including spinal disc operations, varicose vein surgery, endoscopies, and tonsillectomies. Donations were also provided for Christmas meals at the local nursing home. The CEF children's ministry received food and juice during church services. As a token of appreciation for their efforts, the Together team members received thoughtful gifts to ensure that the dedicated volunteers who organize these relief efforts are also supported. This comprehensive approach ensured that the funds were used effectively to meet both the immediate and ongoing needs of the community.
